Shipping Policy – Jake’s Vintage Oy

Jake’s Vintage Oy ships worldwide from Helsinki, Finland. We comply with all applicable EU consumer protection laws regarding delivery, shipping costs, and responsibility for goods in transit.
1. Processing Time

Orders are processed and dispatched within 1–2 business days after payment confirmation.

If we are unable to dispatch your order within 30 days of purchase, we will notify you and you may choose to:

Agree to a new delivery date, or

Cancel your order for a full refund, as required by EU Directive 2011/83/EU.

2. Delivery Times
Estimated delivery times from dispatch:

Finland: 1–3 business days

EU/EEA countries: 3–7 business days

North America: 7–14 business days

Rest of the world: 10–21 business days
We use reputable carriers (e.g., Posti, DHL, UPS, FedEx) with tracking available for all orders. Actual delivery times may vary due to customs clearance, weather conditions, or other factors beyond our control.
3. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination and order weight.

All costs are clearly displayed before you confirm your order, in accordance with EU law.

We do not impose hidden surcharges.
4. Customs, Duties, and Taxes

EU Orders: Prices include Finnish VAT where applicable. No customs duties apply within the EU single market.

Non-EU Orders: Your order may be subject to import duties, taxes, or handling fees charged by your country’s customs authority. These charges are the customer’s responsibility. We have no control over, and cannot predict, such costs.

We will complete all necessary customs forms accurately, but the customer is responsible for ensuring the import of second-hand clothing is permitted in their country.
5. Risk & Responsibility

Under EU law, we remain responsible for goods until they are delivered into your possession (or to a person you designate), unless you arrange your own courier.

If items are lost or damaged in transit before delivery, we will replace or refund them at no extra cost to you.
6. Delivery Attempts & Incorrect Addresses

Please ensure your delivery address is accurate and complete.

If a package is returned to us due to incorrect or incomplete address information provided by you, we will contact you to arrange re-delivery. Additional shipping charges may apply in such cases.
7. Delays Beyond Our Control
While we make every effort to deliver on time, delays caused by customs, strikes, or force majeure events are outside our control. We will keep you informed and work to resolve the situation quickly.
