Refund policy

Returns: 30 days, no fuss

By law you can cancel an online order within 14 days of receiving it, used and vintage items included, wherever we ship it. On top of that, we give you extra days, up to 30 days in total. The extra time covers discounted items too. You don't need a reason.

How to return:

Message us within 30 days of receiving your parcel, with your order number: email jaakko.salminen@jakesvintage.fi or WhatsApp +358 45 7833 6975. A short message is enough, no form needed.
Send the item within 14 days of telling us to: JAKE & IPI, Elimäenkatu 2 E, 00510 Helsinki, Finland. You can also drop it off at the shop during opening hours.

Return postage:

In our European shipping zones (Finland, the Nordics & Baltics, and the rest of Europe including Switzerland and Norway), we send you a prepaid return label — except the UK.
From the UK, and from outside those European zones, you pay the return postage for change-of-mind returns.
For a faulty or wrongly described item, you never pay the return postage, wherever you are (see below).

Condition: no tags or original packaging needed (vintage often has neither). Please treat it like a fitting room try-on. If it's been used more than that, we may take the loss in value off the refund, as the law allows.

Refund: to your original payment method within 14 days of you telling us you're returning the item. We may wait until the item is back with us, or until you've shown us it's posted. Same for all returns within the 30 days. We refund your original standard shipping too. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, we refund the standard price.

Exchanges: every item is a one-off, so we can't swap like for like. Just return it and order the other piece.

Something wrong with your item?

We grade and describe every flaw we find (see our Grading scale). If something wasn't described, or the item isn't what the listing says, tell us. This isn't limited to the 30 days. Tell us within a reasonable time after you notice the problem. Consumer law gives you remedies such as repair, a price reduction, or cancelling the purchase for a full refund, and you never pay the return postage for a faulty or wrongly described item. If we refund, it's to your original payment method, usually within 14 days of agreeing on it. Normal wear that matches the grade and description isn't a fault.
